Roads River Flowing
A different life, this road
finally mapped
yet unknown, wandering.
Anew, a travel house
window view of earth’s heights
what is my place?
In the rearview mirror
moments of grief,
more are of joy.
Nature’s open door
both familiar, far away
courage to try.
With each step
miles earned
humility in the awe.
Flowering bodies of water
mountains steep, the deserted
free to be me.
Friendships found
unscripted, authentic
teaching what I need.
Feeling my children
missing those I love
I am grateful.
Flowing on my skin
sun’s warmth
waters’ nourishment.
Pathways of choice,
what do I value most?
I write this chapter.
